How It Works
Barrel Breathing
Spirits are typically aged in barrels, where the compounds in the wood oxygenate and interact with the spirit over time, imparting new flavors and mellowing harsh tones.
With our integrated wooden rods, bottled spirits can continue aging after being removed from the barrel! This enables the consumer to fine-tune the age of their spirits to their liking.
Longer aging leads to more developed and intricate flavors, as well as a smoother and more enjoyable drinking experience.
Surface Area & Volume
Aging spirits is all about the spirit interacting with the wood. The more wood surface the spirit is in contact with, the better!
This is why smaller barrels age spirits "faster". A small 5-gallon barrel can age the spirits inside approximately 4 times "faster" than a large 53-gallon barrel.
Our bottles have a surface area to volume ratio that means you only have to wait months instead of years for your spirits to become smooth and incredibly flavorful.
The Bare Wood Advantage
Genuine Aging
Without the wood being exposed to air, other methods are limited in their impact on spirits.
Our patented method is far more effective because it emulates barrel-breathing.
The longer the spirit stays in the bottle, the more it improves, just like it would in a barrel.
Wood Variety
Barrels can’t be be made of just any wood because they would leak, but our design doesn’t have to worry about leaking.
This opens the door to endless possibilities... From oak, maple, and hickory to junglewood, cherry, and applewood, and many more!
Fine-Tuned Control
Enthusiasts can now determine just how aged their spirits become.
Each bottle comes covered with a resealable top; once the seal is broken the wood is exposed to the air and the aging begins, but when the spirit reaches a desirable point, the top can be covered again, halting the aging.
